Teen Scene with Guest Casey Leigh Van Rooyen

Last night (Monday, January 2nd), we were very lucky to be in the company of a very talented, up-and-coming singer. Casey Leigh, originally from East London, South Africa, gave two amazing performances live on our Teen Scene show, singing ‘Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘Fields of Gold’. Throughout the show, she also spoke to me about her career to date, her influences and the large amount of charity work that she takes part in, as well as answering some of the many questions that were put to her by the listeners.
Judging by the huge quantity of listener participation, and the variety of questions that were asked, (ranging from ones about her career to ones asking her advice on peer pressure), it’s clear to see that she is already looked up to by many of her fans, and really does seem to be destined for great things.
Our listeners got to hear some of the diversity in Casey’s music through many of her other tracks that were played during the course of the show, and Casey showed pure professionalism in the way she answered the questions and showed so much appreciation for her growing fan base, while still managing to have a laugh and some fun in the studio.
We here at Teen Scene would like to say a warm word of thanks to both Casey and the members of her family that accompanied her. Her beautiful voice amazed us to no end, and her presence made it one of our most successful shows to date.
